Well, thank you very much you fucking morons in Massachusetts. Now we'll get NOTHING done in Washington. At least with a Democratic majority someone was doing something. Now there is no majority (or at least not the magic "super majority") and since Republitards automatically say "NO" to every single thing (they're very much like toddlers in that way) nothing will get done. See, here's the thing - bi-partisanship, which President Obama sincerely thought was possible, requires honesty and ethics, two things the Republicans in Washington do not have. Obama could ask for all children to be happy and healthy forever and Republicans would vote against it. I truly believe that it does not matter anymore what this administration tries to do, how right it is, or how much it will help the country. The Republicans will not support anything this president does. They have proven that.
And you know what the worst part is? Massachusetts HAS UNIVERSAL HEALTH INSURANCE! That's right - Brown actually said that he didn't care about national health care reform because his state already has it covered. Well, thanks, good for you, BUT WHAT ABOUT THE REST OF THE GODDAMN COUNTRY?
Ok, now that that is off my chest I will say this: healthcare reform will pass. Oh, yes, it will. One way or another the American People are going to get what they need. No more worrying about pre-existing conditions and lifetime caps, and all the rest of it. Harry and Nancy have got your back, America. They will figure out a way to do it. After that, all bets are off because Congress, which is already totally dysfunctional, will be even worse. SIGH.
